1. EXTERIOR HOME INSPECTION

First, our team will thoroughly examine the outside of your home to pinpoint areas of air loss, such as around windows and door frames. These problem areas can potentially cause energy loss over time, leaving you with expensive utility bills each month. We will also check for cracks in the foundation walls, which could let moisture inside or contribute to heat loss/gain.

2. INSULATION AND ATTIC AREA INSPECTION

Next, our team will check the top of your home to be sure that you aren’t having any issues with energy loss through the walls, floors, or roof. These are often the most notorious areas of energy loss inside a home. If it is discovered that this is a problem area, spray foam or cellulose insulation can be installed to help make the home more comfortable all year long.

3. HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS

Heating and cooling systems often use the most energy inside of your home. We will check them to ensure they are working as efficiently as possible. If there is a problem or the systems are over a decade old, it may be time to consider a replacement. 4. DUCT WORK INSPECTION

5. BLOWER DOOR TESTS

This kind of testing can calculate the air tightness of your home. The blower door unit is placed on the interior side of your entry door. Then, a fan will depressurize your entire house, making it easier for us to pinpoint areas of air loss. Often, leaks are found around windows, door frames, or outlets.

6. THERMAL IMAGING

Thermal imaging devices also help us pinpoint areas of energy loss in a home. They use infrared radiation to allow us to see areas of heat loss or gain around windows, door frames, or ceilings. Most energy used in a home will get out through the attic, walls, or chimney.

7. REVIEW THE RESULTS
