Do You Need More Ventilation in Your Bathroom & Kitchen?
Whether you’ve just had a kitchen renovation or you’ve had the same bathroom since you moved into the home, if you’ve got home issues such
Air Sealing & Insulation Services
After every home evaluation we perform, performing air sealing and insulation services are always the most impactful, quickest, and least expensive first steps in home improvement. These tackle two of the biggest factors affecting home efficiency and comfort: conditioned air and tempurature leaking out of your home, and exterior temperatures and air leaking in. By starting with these home improvement services, you’re setting your home up for success in any future home performance projects.
Reduce the strain on your HVAC system for heating and cooling by reducing wasted air conditioning lost through air leaks by using air sealing and thermal loss through your walls, floors, and ceilings with better insulation.
Air sealing and insulation not only prevent indoor comfort from leaking out, but also better regulate indoor temperatures by removing common thermal exchange areas like stuffy attics and chilly basements.
Not only will you save money on lower utility bills, but your HVAC and other ventilation systems will run less, extending their lifespans and maintenance timelines and reducing duct and filter cleaning requirements.
Many home performance improvements can be very expensive—which makes duct sealing and insulation a great place to start for increased efficiency and comfort at a lower price point, shorter work timeline, and less disruption to your home.

At Greenmark, we believe in data-driven solutions. We’ll perform air blower and thermal camera testing before and after to prove results.
After testing, air sealing via caulking can be applied to most gaps, cracks, and holes. Areas include window and door frames, as well as other exterior installations.
Attics are a common under and uninsulated part of the home. We’ll provide the right solutions for your attic area to maximize efficiency in the summers and winters.
We pick the right type of insulation depending on your home, area, and budget. These include spray foam, fiberglass, cellulose, and rigid foam boards.
In areas with moving components, such as doors, weatherstripping is installed. For windows that don’t open, caulking is applied.
Crawlspaces, including ceiling and floor spaces, and the basement, need proper insulation. Garages and other attached structures also need attention.
We make sure your home is as insulated, durable, and secure as possible, including testing and replacement of all exterior elements.
We test air ducts via duct blaster tests and then conduct repairs, including duct sealing and ductwork replacement as needed for your home.
Air ducts may require additional insulation, including the ducts themselves and the crawlspaces they run through. Should be done alongside duct sealing.
We offer complementary services that go above and beyond air sealing and insulation in our Whole Home Approach, providing not just improved home performance data, comfort, and efficiency, but also improved home health through ventilation and renovation.
Before ventilation services begin, you should have a home evaluation and energy audit conducted by Greenmark to help identify any issues and diagnose underlying causes.
In addition to renovation and remodeling services, we offer ventilation services, including HVAC replacement, hood and vent installation, and whole home solutions.
Alongside ventilation services, home renovation and remodeling can further enhance home comfort with insulation, windows, siding, and more.

Many areas of the home can develop cracks, holes, and gaps from installations and over time—some dating back to when the house was first built. Common areas include the frames around doors and windows, shafts and vents that go through the exterior walls, ducts and recessed lighting, flues and chimney shafts, soffits and dropped ceilings, and attics and wall air sealing. Every home is different, so testing may turn up different problem areas.
Often, the insulation already installed in a home doesn’t need to be replaced—it needs to be augmented. Most issues with thermal loss (heating and cooling escaping the home) are due to underinsulated or uninsulated spaces, such as attics, basements, attached garages, and crawlspaces. Insulating those spaces, which are far more accessible than wall insulation in finished parts of the home, makes a difference without major construction.
Many ducts have never had a “duct blower” test, in which a blower unit is hooked up to assess the air-tightness of the vents in your home. Leaking air, especially in unconditioned areas of your home like crawl spaces, basements, and garages, means wasted HVAC runtime. Having a test and getting air sealing, along with regular maintenance, HVAC filter replacement, and duct cleaning, means a more efficient home.
It depends on where the insulation will be applied, the current insulation you have installed, and your budget. Most insulation has pros, cons, and the right use cases. Spray foam is common for unfinished basements, especially around pipe work. Loose cellulose makes sense for attic spaces you don’t enter, while fiberglass for rigid foam makes more sense if the unfinished area also provides storage. Your insulation contractor will match your needs with the right insulation solution.
Conditioned air—heating in the winter and cooling in the summer—is constantly leaving your home through unsealed gaps, cracks, and holes. Every home has these gaps, from utility lines entering your home to the very doors and windows you enjoy. Because of this air and temperature loss, your HVAC system has to work harder to keep you comfortable. Air sealing means less work for your system, which means lower utility bills.
